On May 31st, the 76th Israel Independence Day Reception was held at the Ambassador's Residence, with the presence of Parliamentary Vice-Minister Hon. Fukazawa, Hon. Kaneko from the Japan-Israel Friendship League, US Ambassador Emanuel, and other distinguished guests.
We remembered the October 7th victims, and hoped for the safe release of 125 hostages held in Gaza.
Ambassador Cohen honored eight key contributors to the bilateral relations between Israel and Japan.
Guests received a special Manga booklet telling the story of abductee Noa Argamani, designed by artist Ms. Makoto Tanaka calling for the immediate release of all abductees.
