Application by a foreign national born in Israel to receive a "Confirmation of Birth" certificate

This service enables foreign nationals born in Israel to obtain a birth certificate in Hebrew and in English for themselves or for their family members.
Required Documents To Apply
Photocopy of mother's passport.
Original copy of the "Live Birth" certificate received at the time of birth.
A power of attorney or court order - When the application is submitted by someone other than the applicant
Required presence at the Consulate
The applicant is not required to appear in person at the mission.

Where the application is submitted by a spouse or a first-degree relative or an attorney holding a power of attorney, they must appear in person at the mission.

Estimated time of arrival of document up to 90 working days from date of submission.

In the envelope, please attach the relevant documents as explained below, a signed payment form and a self addressed pre-paid envelope for return once the certificate arrives.
This service is free of charge, unless you require an apostille stamp on the certificate, which costs 8 GBP. If the certificate is needed for foreign authorities, we recommend you order with an apostille stamp.

​Please note that all certificates that are sent from the consulate must be sent with tracked delivery. If you do not include a tracked envelope in your request, your documents will wait here to be picked up.

By email – the documents listed above should be scanned and attached to the application, which should be sent to an Israeli mission in the country where the applicant is staying.

By mail – according to the instructions appearing on the Ministry's website.

To visit the mission, it is necessary to schedule an appointment in advance.

Before coming to the mission, make sure you have with you all the required documents and completed forms.
