Entry visas for university or yeshiva students

This service enables foreign university or yeshiva students who want to study at institutions of higher education or at yeshivas in Israel, to submit an application for a visa.
Required Documents To Apply
Application for a student visa, completed and signed.
Recent passport photo (against a white background, with full front view of face, measuring 5x5 cm).
Foreign passport, valid for the period of the visa.
Confirmation of acceptance to the educational institution.
Confirmation of payment of tuition.
Proof of means of subsistence (printout of bank statement for at least three months).
Birth certificate (no need for an apostille stamp or chain of signatures).
Medical insurance.
Proof of residence in Israel.
Photographs of parents' passports
Tip
Payment is made at the consulate using credit and debit cards (including GiroKard).

Please avoid using cash.



In order to process an application for a student visa, the following documents must be submitted:


 Your original passport, which is valid for at least 6 months at the time of departure

 Residence permit for Germany with a validity of at least 6 months (only for non-German citizens)

 Enclosed form completely filled out and personally signed

Signed declaration (see on the back of form)

 A recent passport photo (5 x 5 cm! - American format) - Do not
stick it on! Please write your name on the back

 Your birth certificate

 A declaration of the citizenship of the parents (extra form)

 Copy of the parents' passport or identity card

 A photocopy of the invitation from the university in Israel (Acceptance Letter)

 A written confirmation from an international health insurance company for the duration of the stay

 The address of the accommodation in Israel (point 15)

 Written proof of funding for your living expenses during your stay in Israel (scholarship confirmation with the amount of the scholarship, bank balance (complete bank statements for the last 3 months), guarantee declaration plus copy of the guarantor's passport, etc.) 1 option is sufficient

 A written confirmation that the university fees have been paid or prepaid. This confirmation does not need to be submitted if the student receives a scholarship

Who can apply?

The service is available to university or yeshiva students who want to study at an institution of higher education or at a yeshiva in Israel.

How to apply

The applicant must submit a visa application, completed and signed, with supporting documents attached.

The completed application and supporting documents should be sent by email to an Israeli mission in the country where the applicant lives.

Please note:


If the confirmation of acceptance states that the student will be accompanied by another person – the details of such person should be provided, including their passport number.

 

If the applicant is under age 18, both parents must sign before the consular representative.

Schedule AN appointment

To visit the mission, it is necessary to schedule an appointment in advance.

Before coming to the mission, make sure you have with you all the required documents and completed forms.

In cases where attendance is required, an appointment must be made in the appointment system.

Appointment scheduling software will allow you to determine in advance the time of arrival at the embassy and the type of service requested. This will allow the embassy staff to prepare in advance and ensure courteous, efficient and quick treatment.

Please note that:
1. An appointment must be made for each person who arrives (in the case of families - for each member of the family).
2. The visitor's name must be written in foreign letters only (as written in the passport).

Payment Methods

The payment amount for the requested service will be in accordance with the details provided on the consulate's website, with the exact required fee listed in the fee schedule (if document return by mail is requested, an additional postage fee of 5 Euros will be charged).

Cash: Please avoid paying in cash.

GiroKard: Payments using debit cards can only be made in person.

Credit card: in order to pay by credit card you have to fill and attach the payment form:

Bank Transfer:  The bank transfer must be made at least 3 business days prior to receiving the service.

When making a bank transfer, it is mandatory to include in the transfer notes: the full name of the service recipient (not the payer, if they are different), the requested service, and the Israeli ID number or passport number of the service requester.

When requesting a service (or sending documents by mail), a printout of the payment transfer confirmation must be attached.

Security instructions for those arriving at the embassy:

You must arrive after making an appointment in advance only.

You must arrive equipped with an identification document (passport or ID card) with a photo, the required documents and a means of payment.

Please note that all visitors will be asked to undergo a security check along with their belongings.

For security reasons, personal belongings will not be allowed into the mission, including handbags and electronic devices.

Do not arrive at the mission with large handbags and/or suitcases.

Do not arrive at the mission with food and/or bottles or containers of drinks (there is a cooler in the consular waiting room).

The mission's security instructions will apply to those staying in the consular waiting room.
