Combating Gender-Based Violence

The MASHAV Carmel Training Centre (MCTC) in Haifa Israel invites professionals to participate in an upcoming course ‘Combating Gender-Based Violence’ that will take place in Israel between 9-20 December 2024.

The objectives of this course include:

  • Analyze causes of GBV, means of intervention, emphasizing cultural aspects;
  • Analyze social policy as it relates to prevention and treatment of trauma;
  • Working with the judicial system and the police;
  • Exchange experiences and ideas on concepts, programs and methodologies applied in the participants respective countries, as well as in Israel.

 

The program is designed for professionals that include those working in social service organizations, officials from government and local authorities, NGO representatives, police officers, lawyers. Psychologists, social workers, representatives of crisis centers/teams.

 

MASHAV awards a limited number of scholarships that cover the cost of the training programme, including lectures and field visits, full board accommodation in double rooms, health insurance (refer to brochure for details) and transfers to and from the airport in Israel.

Airfares and daily allowance are not included in the scholarship. These must be covered by the sending organisation /participant.
