BILATERAL RELATIONS BETWEEN ISRAEL AND SENEGAL
Senegal and the State of Israel have maintained warm cooperative relations even before Senegal gained independence.
Being among the first countries to recognize Senegal's independence in 1960, Israel has consistently shown dedication in helping Senegal face the numerous challenges it has had to overcome and in its efforts to progress in development.
Senegal holds a unique position in promoting peace in the Middle East. The friendship between Israel and Senegal is a testament to tolerance, clarity, and wisdom that has long characterized its leaders and people.
