The Embassy of Israel in Senegal had the honor of celebrating Israel’s National Day alongside its partners and friends, marking 77 years since the founding of the State of Israel by David Ben-Gurion.
The event brought together representatives of the Senegalese government , members of the diplomatic corps , religious leaders , and many long-standing friends of the Embassy.
In his speech, Ambassador Yuval Waks emphasized the strength of the friendship between Israel and Senegal , highlighting the significant potential for expanded cooperation in vital sectors such as agriculture, health, security , and interfaith dialogue .
One of the most touching moments of the evening was a vibrant performance by children from the YMCA Parcelles Assainies , who danced to the song "Jerusalema." Their energy and message of peace moved the entire audience and added a unique spirit to the celebration.
