Entry visas for university or yeshiva students

This service enables foreign university or yeshiva students who want to study at institutions of higher education or at yeshivas in Israel, to submit an application for a visa.
Required Documents To Apply
Application for a student visa, completed and signed.
Recent passport photo (against a white background, with full front view of face, measuring 5x5 cm).
Foreign passport, valid for the period of the visa.
Confirmation of acceptance to the educational institution.
Confirmation of payment of tuition.
Proof of means of subsistence (printout of bank statement for at least three months).
Birth certificate (no need for an apostille stamp or chain of signatures).
Medical insurance.
Proof of residence in Israel.
Photographs of parents' passports
Required presence at the Consulate
The applicant must appear in person at the mission.

A/2 Student Visa Requirements
This visa is granted to those who want to study in Israel in elementary and high schools, academic institutions, yeshiva, and youth institutions of the Jewish Agency. The visa is valid for up to one year and for multiple entrances and exits. Recipients of this visa are not permitted to work in Israel.


Please be advised that a minor must be present at the Consulate with his/her parents and will not be given a visa without the written consent of both parents or his legal guardian. The Consul may request additional documents.

Who can apply?

The service is available to university or yeshiva students who want to study at an institution of higher education or at a yeshiva in Israel.

How to apply

The applicant must submit a visa application, completed and signed, with supporting documents attached.

The completed application and supporting documents should be sent by email to an Israeli mission in the country where the applicant lives.

Please note:


If the confirmation of acceptance states that the student will be accompanied by another person – the details of such person should be provided, including their passport number.

 

If the applicant is under age 18, both parents must sign before the consular representative.

A/2 Student visa requirements

This visa is granted to those who want to study in Israel in elementary and high schools, academic institutions, yeshiva, and youth institutions of the Jewish Agency. Your actual passport or travel document
 that is valid for at least one year provided that his country has a diplomatic mission in the State of Israel. If there is no such mission in Israel, the passport must be valid for the entire period of studies and another six months beyond that time.​​

4. Acceptance letter for studies
Include a letter from the institution where you were accepted for studies (College / University)

5. Financial Means
Proof that the student has the financial means to pay for his studies and sustenance throughout his stay in Israel. (Bank account statements for the last three months)

7. A valid re-entry to the US
For none US citizens,  COPY ONLY of a valid re-entry visa to the United States (excluding a tourist visa) or a copy of permanent residency (US passport / Green card). If you are currently residing illegally in the United States, you will not be able to receive a visa.

​8. Birth Certificate​

A COPY of the applicant's birth certificate.

A student who is a child of an Israeli parent is not eligible for a student visa. The student must be registered (in most cases) as a citizen of the state of Israel by his Israeli parent.


 
9. Payment of Fee
