ETA-IL ENTRANCE OF TOURISTS FROM VISA-EXEMPT COUNTRIES.

As part of the bilateral treaties and agreements in the last year, 2023, Israel and the United States signed a bilateral agreement for visa waiver under the consular relationship between the countries.

This new agreement is being implemented during the current year, 2024, and accordingly in reciprocal procedure, citizens of both countries will be able to visit the other country for tourism purposes of up to 3 months time without the need for submitting a request for a visa.

Please be advised that as part of this agreement, a procedure of ETA request needs to be submitted by the citizen of one of the countries who wish to travel to the other country.

For your convenience, please see the following link to the ETA-IL system with the instructions of how to apply for flight boarding permission to the State of Israel.

Please be informed that according to the information received by the Population and Immigration Authority (PIBA), the pilot period, which started on the 1st of June
2024, will be extended for an additional five months, until 31 December 2024.

Accordingly, as of the 1st of January 2025, nationals of visa-exempt countries
must have an ETA-IL approval prior to their flight to Israel.
