Noa Argamani Visits Japan

Noa Argamani, who was held hostage in Gaza for 8 months and continues to advocate for the release of the 115 hostages still in captivity, along with her father Yaakov Argamani, visited Japan.

Noa Argamani, who was held hostage in Gaza for 8 months and continues to advocate for the release of the 115 hostages still in captivity, along with her father Yaakov Argamani, visited Japan. 
The main events during their visit are as follows:

 

August 19 - Meeting with U.S. Ambassador Rahm Emanuel
Noa and Yaakov had a meeting with U.S. Ambassador Rahm Emanuel and conveyed their gratitude for the ongoing support from the United State.
Yaakov visited Japan last December with a delegation of family members of Israeli hostages and met with Ambassador Emanuel. 
In June, following Noa’s release after 8 months of captivity, the Ambassador personally congratulated Yaakov and invited to visit him in Japan.
This significant occasion allowed Noa and Yaakov to express their deep appreciation for the efforts made 
towards the release of hostages and to reaffirm the strong bond and solidarity between them.


August 20 - Meeting with the Japan-Israel Parliamentary Friendship League
A meeting was held with the Japan–Israel Parliamentary Friendship League, led by the chairman Gen Nakatani (Liberal Democratic Party). 
Noa expressed appreciation for the significant role the league has played in advocating for the release of hostages.


August 20 - Welcome Event at the Jewish Community in Japan (JCC)
A heartfelt welcome event was held at the Jewish Community in Japan (JCC) to celebrate the arrival of Noa and her father Yaakov in Japan. 
The event was attended by members of the Israeli and Jewish communities, as well as Japanese friends, 
who came together to honor Noa's resilience and strength, sharing warm smiles and genuine respect.

August 21 - Meeting with G7 Representatives
Noa and Yaakov Argamani met with G7 representatives, calling for their active involvement in securing the release of the remaining hostages. They expressed their gratitude for their sincere attention and for extending their support.


August 21 - Meeting with the representatives of the Diet's Interparty Caucus for the Abduction Issues 
Noa and Yaakov met with the representatives of the Diet's Interparty Caucus for the Abduction Issues, including Ms. Eriko Yamatani (Member of the House ofCouncillors / Liberal Democratic Party) to discuss the current situation in Israel 
and the 109 hostages held by the terrorist organization Hamas. The meeting, shared her personal story after being held hostage for 246 days, emphasized the importance of the 
mutual understanding and continued cooperation between the two countries on the abduction issue.


August 22 - Meeting with Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa
Last December, Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa met with 3 families of Israelis abducted by the terrorist organization Hamas in Gaza, including Yaakov, the father of Noa Argamani. On this visit, Yaakov reunited with Foreign Minister Kamikawa, accompanied by his daughter Noa, who had been rescued by the Israeli Defense Forces in June.
Sincere gratitude to FM Kamikawa for ensuring that the voices of the hostages are heard and for Japan's unwavering diplomatic efforts to bring them all back home.
