The October 7th attack left a deep scar on Israel, claiming over 1,200 lives and resulting in 251 people being taken hostage during a Jewish holiday. A year later, 101 innocent men, women, children, and elderly are still being held in Gaza.
During the event, a survivor of the Nova music festival shared the harrowing story of survival. The testimony was both heartbreaking and a powerful symbol of human resilience, reflecting the courage needed to withstand such unimaginable horror.
Charge d'affaires Asaf Segev, in his speech, highlighted the importance of standing together against radical extremism and ensuring that the voices of the victims and hostages are not forgotten.
We must continue to support efforts to bring justice and peace to those still suffering and work tirelessly to prevent such tragedies from occurring again.
