Japan Travel Tips

1. In order to rent a car in Japan, an international driving permit is required. 

*The validity period of the international driving permit in Japan is only one year, and even if it is within this period, an international driving permit issued more than one year ago will not be accepted. International driving permits can only be issued within Israel and cannot be issued at the embassy.

*Japanese authorities do not accept Israeli driver's licenses, so an international driving permit must be obtained.

2. Outside of major cities in Japan, Wi-Fi services are either scarce or non-existent. Please prepare a package from Israel or obtain temporary Japanese SIM cards or Pocket Wi-Fi.
