Cultural Affairs Department

The Department of Cultural Affairs promotes Israeli culture in Italy and encourages the relations between the Italian cultural Institutions and the Israeli artists in the fields of visual art, cinema, music, literature, performing arts.

We support the participation of both established and emerging artists from Israel in festivals, exhibitions, residencies and other cultural activities in the main Italian cultural centers as well as in peripheral areas and innovative or "alternative" venues throughout the country. At the same time, in collaboration with local cultural and academic institutions, we organize a vast array of activities such as film screenings, book presentations, meetings with artists and concerts. With the help of the Press Office of the Embassy, we contribute to the promotion of the events in the national press and television.

The Department of Cultural Affairs is in contact with the directors and professionals of festivals and venues all over Italy, through our collaboration with them we work for a better understanding of the Israeli cultural scene in Italy, improving the relations between the two countries.
