A delegation of family members of the hostages is visiting Rome on these days.
A delegation of family members of the murdered and kidnapped Israelis is currently in Rome to meet the country's institutional officials, parliamentarians and key figures from the Jewish community. The aim is to contribute to the global awareness campaign to gather international support and pressure for the release of the Israeli hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
The delegation met the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella. Accompanied by the Ambassador of Israel to Italy, President of the UCEI Noemi Di Segni and President of the Jewish Community of Rome Victor Fadlun, they also met the President of the Senate Ignazio La Russa, the President of the Parliament Lorenzo Fontana, the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, the Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi, the Mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri and the Roman Jewish community at the Great Synagogue.
On all these occasions, the families of the victims and hostages recounted their harrowing experiences and garnered the solidarity and unanimous support of all the interlocutors, who also underlined how the release of the hostages is a duty for the international community.
