17 Israeli films will be featured at the upcoming 25th Hong Kong Jewish Film Festival, celebrating Israeli and Jewish culture and identity, during Nov 9-20, 2024

The opening film is Israeli comedy “Running on Sand”, which was nominated for the Israeli Academy Award for Best Film, about an Eritrean refugee who was mistaken for Maccabi Netanya football club’s star Nigerian striker and the twist of his fate.
The director of the film Adar Shafran will appear in person at the Grand Opening on 9 November.
The 17 Israeli films supported by the Consulate General of Israel at the 25th Hong Kong Jewish Film Festival are:
