The cooperation between the countries covered by the embassy of Yaounde and Israel received greater media interest and visibility during each ambassador’s term.

  • Several journalists have been sent to Israel for training and for and reporting missions. This includes journalists from both the private and public media as well as from all sectors: print, audiovisual and online media. Journalists were selected among the best from the five countries covered by the embassy.
  • In 2017, the posted ambassador received an award for the most media friendly diplomat in Cameroon from a Cameroonian association.
  • In January 2018, the embassy received a delegation of seven German journalists who came to do reports on cooperation activities between Israel and Cameroon. The objective of the activity was to change the narrative within European media about Israel's activities in Africa and to show that substantive work is going on between both sides.
  • Also In 2018, the embassy funded the rehabilitation of the Campus Radio of the University of Ngaoundere. The Campus Radio facility had been razed by a fire incident while the Ambassador was visiting the University.
