His Excellency Ran Yaakoby serves as Ambassador of Israel to New Zealand and Non-Resident Ambassador to the Cook Islands, Samoa, Tonga and Niue.
Prior to his appointment to New Zealand, His Excellency Ran Yaakoby served as Director for Combating Antisemitism and for Holocaust Remembrance at the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also served as Minister-Counsellor to Germany – Berlin (2011-2016), Deputy Ambassador to Sweden – Stockholm (2003-2007), and Deputy Consul General & Charge' d'affairs to Brazil – Sao Paulo (1996-2001).
H.E Ran Yaakoby is married to Debora Yaakoby and they have two children.
