Application to receive a registration extract from the Population Registry

This service enables Israeli citizens and residenst to submit an application to receive a registration extract containing their personal details as they appear in the Population Registry.
Required Documents To Apply
Photocopy of an identifying document or passport.
A power of attorney and the ID card of the family member - If the application is on behalf of an immediate family member
A power of attorney from a lawyer or a court judgment - If the application is on behalf of another family member or another person
Required presence at the Consulate
There is no requirement to appear in person at the mission, and the application can be sent by mail or by email

​• An existing Birth Certificate (Hebrew or English)
• An existing Death Certificate
• A current record of entries and exits from Israel.
After submission of the application, the certificates will be processed (this takes between four and six weeks).

PS. This application is only for those who wish to apply for a pre-existing certificate. For example, if you need proof of your birth certificate, marriage certificate or a family members death certificate. This application is NOT for those seeking to declare a change in status such as the birth of a child, a marriage, divorce etc.

Who can apply?

Israeli citizens and residents or anyone with an interest in receiving a registration extract with details from the Population Registry.

How to apply

By mail – the required forms and documents should be sent together with a photocopy of an identifying document.

By email – the required forms and documents should be attached to the email.

Please note:

If the application is on behalf of an immediate family member – a power of attorney and the ID card of the family member should be attached.

If the application is on behalf of another family member or another person – a power of attorney from a lawyer or a court judgment should be attached.

Schedule an appointment

Any visit to a mission must be arranged in advance through the online appointment scheduler.


The affidavit that is to be signed must be prepared in advance.

Consular fee

No fee is charged for the service.
