“Upon my arrival to Uzbekistan, I visited first the monument dedicated to the rescue of Jews in Uzbekistan during WWII. The fact that so many Uzbek people hosted and shared bread with Jewish refugees escaping from east Europe is a testament for the strong bonds between our peoples.
As a grandson of Holocaust Survivors, I cherish and respect the Uzbek people for their humanity and hospitality”.
