• You can submit the application for a certificate from the population registry by sending us the documents by email or by applying in person at the consular department. Links below to schedule an appointment.
• Except for a birth certificate issued in English and Hebrew (at the citizen's request), all certificates are issued in Hebrew only.
• Ordering certificates is free of charge, except for a certificate indicating a change of name.
• An applicant can order a certificate for himself and his minor children. For information about eligibility to order certificates for another person, see an explanation on the website of the Ministry of the Interior.
• If an Apostille stamp is required on the requested certificate, the service is subject to a fee.
• As mentioned, you can apply through us only for the certificates from the population registry listed on the website.
• The request is forwarded to the Population Authority which issues the certificate.
• If an Apostille is required, the certificate is also forwarded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Apostille and then it is sent to us.
• On regular days, several weeks must be considered until the certificate reaches us.
• Residents of Pennsylvania can receive service at the consulate general of Israel in New-York or DC
Israeli citizens and residents or anyone with an interest in receiving a registration extract with details from the Population Registry.
By mail – the required forms and documents should be sent together with a photocopy of an identifying document.
By email – the required forms and documents should be attached to the email.
Please note:
If the application is on behalf of an immediate family member – a power of attorney and the ID card of the family member should be attached.
If the application is on behalf of another family member or another person – a power of attorney from a lawyer or a court judgment should be attached.
Any visit to a mission must be arranged in advance through the online appointment scheduler.
The affidavit that is to be signed must be prepared in advance.

Security instructions for people who wish to obtain consular services at the consulate office
• The consulate’s security directives apply to people in the consular waiting room. Please respect the security requirements at all times!
1. Bring a photo ID.
2. All visitors and their belongings will be required to undergo a security check.
3. No personal objects will be allowed in the embassy, including mobile phones and electronic devices.
4. No bags/handbags or suitcases are allowed.
5. No food and/or beverage bottles or containers are allowed.
