A ceremony in Lviv recently honored two Ukrainians recognized as Righteous Among the Nations for risking their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust. Israel’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, presented medals and certificates to their family members.

The event was also attended by Head of Mashav Amb. Einat Shlein, Lviv Regional Governor Maksym Kozytskyi, and Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi. According to Yad Vashem, 2,707 Ukrainians have been awarded this honor, reflecting the bravery and compassion of the Ukrainian people.
This ceremony is a reminder of the enduring legacy of courage and the strong bond between Ukraine and Israel in preserving this important history.
