The DCM

Shani Azulai was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. She took up her post as Deputy Consul General at the Consulate General of Israel in Toronto and Western Canada on July 30, 2021. 

Ms. Azulai joined Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2018. Her first international post was as Deputy Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg (2019-2021). 

Prior to that position, she worked at the Israeli Mission to the United Nations in New York (2017-2018). Ms. Azulai served in the Israel Defense Forces from 2006-2008. 

She holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and Communication & Journalism from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
