Shalom Club event was held in CIIH
On Jun 16th, Shalom Club was successfully held in CIIH.
Shalom Club's offline event was resumed after many years of suspension. Ravit Baer, the Israeli Consul General, Eytan Halon, the Deputy Consul General, leaders of CIIH and nearly 80 Moshav students gathered at CIIH. Ambassador Einat Shlein also sent her best wishes for the event via video message.
Ravit Baer first delivered a speech to welcome all the students to "go back home". She said, Mashav is an international cooperation project that the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has always been proud of. Its goal is to promote sustainable development and social harmony. Through the global "Shalom Club" network, the graduates of the training courses can establish permanent relationships and maintain long-term business contacts with teaching and educational promotion institutions in Israel. The Consulate General of Israel in Shanghai, as a bridge for cooperation between the State of Israel and Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui and Jiangxi, has been committed to bringing Israel's advanced high-tech, innovative ideas and cultural heritage to China, and to promote the friendships between the two peoples.
Then, Qiang Hao, General Manager of China-Israel (Shanghai) Innovation Hub, made a speech. He said, Since the opening of the Innovation Park in 2019, more than 100 Chinese and Israeli innovative companies have settled in. 8 companies have completed multiple rounds of financing, and nearly 500 intellectual property rights have been implemented. These achievements can't be made without the help from Israeli Consulate General in Shanghai. Mashav is an important way for Israel to share its experience, knowledge and relatively cutting-edge technology with the rest of the world. This year is also the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the Mashav project. I hope that through this networking event held in the hub, everyone can increase understanding and deepen the relationship with the students of Mashav, and better understand CIIH.
Finally, there was a dialogue session with 4 Mashav students. At the end of the party, the students were also invited to the Israel Science and Technology Culture Salon to experience the Sabbath dinner together. So far, Moshav has more than 140 Shalom clubs around the world, and more than 300,000 graduates of training courses have become its members. We look forward to having more suitable and excellent talents to join the China-Israel cooperation projects in the future.
