Consulate General of Israel in Shanghai celebrates 76 Years of Independence
The Consulate General of Israel in Shanghai celebrated its 76th Independence Day on May 22 by holding a reception for Chinese graduates of Israeli universities.
Approximately 100 graduates from across Israel's universities participated in the event, traveling to Shanghai from across the country. Participating in the event were graduates from the University of Haifa; Hebrew University of Jerusalem; Tel Aviv University; Technion – Israel Institute of Technology; Bar Ilan University; Reichman University; and Ben Gurion University.
The guest of honor was incoming Haifa University president Prof. Gur Alroey, who visited Shanghai with a delegation of academics.
In addition to the gathering of graduates, the consulate provided an important networking opportunity for participants by inviting senior representatives of approximately 20 Israeli companies operating in Shanghai.
Leaders from the China Israel Innovation Hub (Shanghai) and the China-Israel Changzhou Innovation Park also participated in the event.
