Extension of Israeli travel documents

This service enables Israeli citizens and Israeli residents staying abroad to submit an application to extend a non-biometric Israeli travel document. (passport)

The passport or travel document that is to be extended.
Required presence at the Consulate,
The application can be submitted by mail, Appearance in person at the mission is subject to the discretion of the consular representative.
Please note
Passports cannot be extended over five years from the date of issuance of the passport.

A passport issued abroad will only be used for five years. After five years, a new passport must be applied for.

please note:

  • A non-biometric travel document can be extended for up to five years.
  • Any extension of a travel document is subject to the age of the applicant and to the consul's decision.

  • To extend a travel document for a minor, the minor must come in person to an Israeli mission accompanied by one of his parents

To visit the embassy, it is necessary schedule an appointment in advance.
Before coming to the mission, make sure you have with you all the required documents and completed forms.

The service is free of charge.

Please register only one person per family - there is no need to add accompanying people, your family will be allowed with you.
If you have medical problems and are assisted by medical equipment, or if you have a metal implant implanted in your body, please provide yourself with an appropriate medical certificate.
If a nursing companion who is not a family member is coming with you, their details must be added when making the appointment.
Do not come to the meeting at the consulate with large bags, valuables, large sums of money, and electronic equipment such as laptops, tablets, etc., except for a personal phone.
Visitors arriving with electronic equipment will not be allowed to enter the consulate.
If you have additional citizenship, please bring with you any foreign passports you have.
