ISRAEL - RWANDA & BURUNDI RELATIONS
The Republic of Rwanda and the State of Israel have enjoyed, over the years, a special, strong and fruitful relationship. In recent years, there has been an increase in high-level state visits between the two countries. Israel and Burundi also enjoy a cordial and cooperative diplomatic relationship and this has even grown stronger in the recent past with cooperation in areas like agriculture, health, education and other aspects of political discourse.
The Ministry of Agriculture n Animal Resources (MINAGRI) in cooperation with MASHAV - the Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation have inaugurated a new agricultural center dubbed ‘Rwanda-Israel Horticulture Center of Excellence’ to streamline Rwanda’s horticulture industry.

In 2017, Rwandan President Paul Kagame visited Israel.
Israel President, Isaac Hergoz, on Sunday, April 7, arrived in Rwanda to attend the 30th commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
