Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Latvia Sandra Simovich.

Ambassador Sandra Simovich was born in Romania in 1974 and made the Alyah to Israel in 1981 at the age of 7. Sandra is a mother of two and has come to Latvia with her spouse Asaf and their son. 

Sandra holds an MA degree in Law from the Tel-Aviv University. 

In 1999, she joined the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a career diplomat. On the 13th of August 2024 she was officially accredited as the Ambassador of Israel to Latvia. 

Ambassador Simovich speaks Hebrew, English, Romanian and German. 

The Ambassador loves nature and is looking forward to discover the Latvian green countryside and long coastline and get to know the people of Latvia and their traditions.

She is looking forward to further promoting bilateral relations between the two countries and deepening the cooperation in already well-known fields as well as developing new ties and opportunities.
