O DEPARTAMENTO POLÍTICO E DE RELAÇÕES PÚBLICAS
The Political and Public Relations Department monitors political developments in Portugal, Israel and third countries. Special attention is paid to the role of Portugal and Israel within the framework of the international organizations to which they belong. Bilateral relations between the two countries are excellent and continue to evolve positively, especially in the field of education, academic cooperation and exchange, tourism and research into Jewish identity and heritage in Portugal.
The Political and Public Relations Department also deals with the dissemination of Israeli government policy and is responsible for contacts and establishing relations with Portuguese counterpart institutions, local authorities and social agents. It also responds to requests from the Portuguese public for information and/or support on Israel.

O Departamento Político e de Relações Públicas acompanha os desenvolvimentos políticos em Portugal, Israel e também em países terceiros. É dada especial atenção à relação com o Parlamento português e ao papel de Portugal e Israel no quadro das organizações internacionais de que fazem parte. As relações bilaterais entre os dois países são excelentes e continuam a evoluir positivamente, especialmente no campo da educação, cooperação e intercâmbio académicos, turismo e identidade e herança judaicas em Portugal.
O Departamento também se ocupa da divulgação da política governamental de Israel e é responsável pelos contactos e estabelecimento de relações com as instituições homólogas portuguesas, autoridades locais e agentes sociais. Ocupa-se ainda da resposta a pedidos de informação e/ou apoio de vária ordem por parte do público português em relação a Israel.
