Issuance of an Israeli travel document (passport) following loss, theft or damage

This service enables Israeli citizens abroad to submit an application for a new travel document (passport) following loss, theft, damage or wearing out of the previous travel document.
Required Documents To Apply
Identifying document with a photo (ID card or Israeli driver's license).
Two recent passport photos (color against a white background, with full front view of face, measuring 5x5 cm).
Required Presence at the Consulate
The applicant must appear in person at the mission.

Who can apply?

Israeli citizens and residents abroad.

How to apply

The applicant must be over the age of 18.

Appearance in person is mandatory for the issuance of a new travel document abroad and for the issuance of a travel document due to loss / theft / damage.

Applicants below the age of 18 must appear in person, accompanied by their parents.

If the parents are married, it is enough for one parent to be present.

Please Note:
The type of document issued will be determined by the consular representative at the mission.

Application for issuance of a passport or laissez passer, completed and signed.

Statement of loss, theft or damage of passport or laissez passer.

Schedule an appointemet

The applicant must schedule an appointment through the online appointment scheduler and come in person to an Israeli mission in the country where he/she is staying.

Before coming to the mission, make sure you have with you all the required documents and completed forms.

Information

If your life center is in Israel -

You must arrive with the following documents:

• Police report about lost/stolen passport.

• 2 passport photos 5*5

• 72 euros for issuing a passport for one year (if the flight to Israel is not direct)

• 77-euro fine fee for stolen/lost passport.

• 38 Euros for the issuance of a transit pass - a one-time transit certificate (only if the flight is directly to Israel).

• Request form for issue traveling document (provided by the embassy).

• Affidavit of loss or theft of a travel document (provided by the embassy).

 

If your life center is abroad -

You must arrive with the following documents:

• Police report about lost/stolen passport.

• 2 passport photos 5*5

• 72 euros for issuing a passport.

• 77 euro fine fee for theft/lost passport.

• Request form for issue traveling document (provided by the embassy).

• Affidavit of loss or theft of a travel document (provided by the embassy).

• Registration form for a citizen staying abroad (provided by the embassy).

You must arrive with the money in cash and accurately!

 

important points:
 

-Payment is made in cash and accurately. 

-In the case of issuing a one-time transit certificate, the above-mentioned transit certificate is valid for up to 14 days and can only be passed through the border control of the State of Israel and not other countries.

 

The security instructions must be followed:

- Bring only necessary items to the meeting.

- Avoid and arrive with bags.

- Avoid to arrive with companions that are not necessary for the appointment.

- Electronic devices cannot be brought inside the meeting (therefore you must arrive with all documents printed and prepared in advance).
