As of January 2025 travelers to Israel must have a valid visa or ETA-IL approval before starting their journey

Please be informed that according to the information received by the Population and Immigration Authority (PIBA), the pilot period, which started on the 1st of June 2024, will be extended for an additional five months, until 31 December 2024.
Accordingly, as of the 1st of January 2025, nationals of visa-exempt countries must have an ETA-IL approval prior to their flight to Israel.
