Graduation of 12 Startup Teams: Celebrating Innovation Across Health, Agriculture, Circular Economy, E-Mobility, and Renewable Energy at i-FAIR 3
On April 4th, 2024, we celebrated the graduation of 12 startup teams across five focus areas - Health, Agriculture, Circular Economy, E-Mobility, and Renewable Energy - through the collaborative efforts of the Embassy of Israel and the Nigerian government. This momentous occasion marks the culmination of a nine-month journey for these aspiring entrepreneurs.
i-FAIR, a joint initiative spearheaded by the Embassy of the State of Israel in Nigeria and Innov8 Hub, has been instrumental in empowering Nigerian entrepreneurs and venture owners. Through comprehensive support, including mentorship and expertise from both Israel and Nigeria, participants have refined their business models and advanced their technological capabilities.
During closing event DCM and Consul of Israel in Nigeria, Inbar Lipman Garden, extended a heartfelt welcome to the attendees, setting the tone for a momentous occasion. This was followed up by a captivating speech by the Ambassador of the State of Israel in Nigeria, His Excellency, Michael Freeman. Goodwill messages were followed by representatives from the vice president of Nigeria and the minister of Foreign Affairs.
A highlight of the event was the dialogue on “Nigeria’s Vision for Digital Entrepreneurship and Innovation,” featuring Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, founder of Future Africa, in conversation with the Honorable Minister of Communication, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani. Their exchange shed light on Nigeria’s aspirations for digital transformation and the pivotal role of entrepreneurship in driving socioeconomic progress.
The event concluded with a dynamic pitching session, where participants pitched their visions with passion and conviction as they unveiled their ideas, seeking validation and support from the appraising audience.
