76 Years of Independence of the State of Israel
The Embassy of Israel celebrated its 76th Independence Day in the presence of the Vice President of Nepal, Rt. Hon. Ramsahay Prasad Yadav as the chief guest, accompanied by high-ranking government officials, political leaders, media representatives, and friends.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Hanan Goder stated, “Independence and sovereignty are dear to any nation. In our case, it took us 2000 years to obtain it again. Israel is proud of what we have achieved during the period of 76 years.”
He further emphasized on the ongoing efforts to release 125 hostages held by Hamas, including Bipin Joshi. He reiterated that Israel’s primary goal is the liberation of these hostages. The speech also highlighted the strong diplomatic relation between Nepal and Israel, established in 1960.
The event featured a photo exhibition by Ziv Koren, showcasing the inhumane and barbaric activities perpetrated by Hamas during the Oct 7 attack.
