About the consulate

Shalom and Welcome to the homepage of the Consulate General of the State of Israel in Germany.

The Consulate General of Israel opened in September 2011 and is responsible for the southern German states of Bayern, Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland.

The aim of the Consulate General of Israel is to strengthen the strategic relationship between the State of Israel and Southern Germany, while offering services and support to the Israeli citizens abroad. 

Our goal is to encourage cooperation and partnership with the citizens and governments of Southern Germany in the fields of politics, economy, culture, tourism, education, defence, investment, technology, energy and other areas of German-Israeli relations.

The Consulate General of Israel in Munich is host of The Israel Economic and Trade Mission, the official representation of the Israeli economy in Germany. As a branch of the Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry in Jerusalem,  promotes trade relations between both countries and encourage Israeli exports to Germany.
