Tip
Please contact the consulate to make sure that the document you would like to sign is elligeble for signature in the consulate, either by phone or email:

consular3@munich.mfa.gov.il
089543486533 (14:00-16:00)

If so, the following instructions are relevant to you:

- you need the document for signature
- ID or Passport, preferably the ID or Passport indicated in the document
- 15 Euro per document and 7 per copy

Regarding the translation and language:

The person signing the document must be proficient in the language of signature.
Having been explained the contents \ someone reading the document to you \ using online software to translate = are all non compliant, and we would not be able to provide you with the service.

Example:
"I don't speak Hebrew but my lawyer does and he explained it to me" - will not work! You can only sign a document you can personally read and understand.

If the document is in a language you are not proficient in, you have 2 choices:
First option - bring the document in a language you are proficent in, in that case you will sign that document only.

Second option - If you need to sign the Hebrew version of the document in any case, you need 3 documents in total: The Hebrew Version, Another Version in the language of your choice, and an affidavit of the translator, either by Notary or Consul.

The translator can be anyone who speaks both languages and is willing to declare this either before a notary or at the consulate.

The following are the steps for signing a translated document:
1. Have the translation performed by a translator of your choice and prepare a document.
2. The translator must then either sign a declaration before a notary confirming the translation is correct, or they can accompany you to the consulate and sign a declaration before the consul confirming the translation is correct.
3. When you arrive at the consulate, you must have two documents with you: the translated document and the translator's declaration, either signed by a notary or ready for the consul to sign.
For a declaration before the consulate, the translator must be present at the consulate.
4. The consulate does not provide translation services.
5. The consulate does not provide the "Translator's Declaration" document.
If all conditions are met, sign the translated version.
Please take this seriously, as we would like to avoid turning you away without a signature.

Please bring your passports with you, of course.
The fee is €15 per signature and person.
Payment is possible in cash or by debit card.
