A little bit about our Consul General
Paul Hirschson was appointed Consul General of Israel and moved to Montreal in summer 2021. He also serves as Israel's Permanent Representative to the United Nations' International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
Paul spent 10 years in Israel's hi-tech sector, building relations in Arab countries and later in Europe, Africa and beyond. In 2004 Paul joined the Foreign Ministry, becoming Israel's first diplomat to serve in the United Arab Emirates.
In 2008 Paul relocated to and served in the USA, returning to Israel in 2011 where he served as a foreign ministry spokesperson.
In 2015 Paul was appointed Ambassador to Senegal and non-resident Ambassador to Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Cape Verde & Guinea.
