Public Diplomacy

Together with our involvement with government and the business community, we engage with the wider community, presenting and representing Israel. Israel is a pluralistic, entrepreneurial, cosmopolitan, democratic society, deeply invested in education and engaged with the arts and culture. We work with universities, the academia and the student population. We are the address for media inquiries about anything related to Israel. The Consulate General has a long relationship with Montreal’s LGBTQ+ and other communities who themselves have close relationships with Israel. Israel’s innovative artists specialize in a variety of areas from fashion to cuisine and the performing, visual, literary and cinematic arts. Israeli artists push artistic boundaries, inspiring self-reflective and communal examination while expressing the essence of the people of Israel. We work closely with Quebec & Atlantic Canada's cultural and academic institutions.
