Consul General of Israel, Maor Elbaz-Starinsky, had the honor of addressing a special joint session of the Missouri House of Representatives and Senate. In his speech, Consul General Elbaz-Starinsky reflected on Israel's journey as the nation commemorates its 75th anniversary. He emphasized the strength and determination that have defined Israel's and Jewish history, from overcoming pogroms and the horrors of the Holocaust to enduring modern-day threats such as the Hamas massacre on October 7th. His message was clear: While striving and committed to peace, prosperity, and promoting innovation and cultural exchanges, Israel remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring that such atrocities never happen again.

 

The visit was a testament to the deep and enduring bond between Israel and the state of Missouri, with a shared dedication to promoting peace, security, and shared values and interests.
