Hadas Wittenberg Silverstein, has established a comprehensive diplomatic career characterized by various international postings and headquarters roles. Since 2022, she has served as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Lithuania, representing Israel's interests and strengthening bilateral relations. From 2019 to 2022, she was the Head of the Cadets Training Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem, helping to develop the new generation of diplomats.

Her prior diplomatic assignments include serving as Deputy Ambassador in Vienna, Austria, from 2015 to 2019.From 2010 to 2013, she served as Deputy Consul General of Israel in Toronto, Canada and Between 2008 and 2010, she was the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Israel in San Jose, Costa Rica. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2007, she held a similar role in Belgrade, Serbia.

Since joining the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2002, Ms. Wittenberg Silverstein has worked in various divisions, including the Division of Asia and the Pacific, the Department of Public Affairs, the Department of Central Europe, and the Division for International Organizations. Her experience before joining the Foreign Ministry includes working as a social worker at a family center in Jerusalem, where she provided critical support to families in need, and as a research assistant at the Hebrew University.

Ms. Wittenberg Silverstein holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from the Paul Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, graduating cum laude. During her military service from 1993 to 1996, she served as an army medic and later as a Lieutenant officer in the Golan Heights.

Fluent in Hebrew, English, and with working knowledge of Spanish, Ms. Wittenberg Silverstein brings a diverse and multilingual perspective to her diplomatic endeavors. She is married and a mother of five children, balancing her professional commitments with family responsibilities.
