Israeli Ambassador Hadas Wittenberg Silverstein and her deputy Erez Golan, participated in a ceremony to light the sixth candle at the Jewish Community of Vilnius to celebrate Hanukkah.

The ceremony, led by Faina Kukliansky, Chairwoman of the Lithuanian Jewish Community, and attended by Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas and Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys, included prayers for the release of all of the over 100 hostages.
The prayers also expressed the Jewish community's strength in the face of adversity and affirmed that the light of Hanukkah will always guide them.
