Cadets in MFA Lithuania

Two cadets, Ran Peretz and Dvori Biton-Zini, accompanied by Matan Zamir, Head of the Cadet Course, visited Lithuania as part of this program.

During their stay, coinciding with the Embassy's 10th anniversary, the cadets engaged with Lithuania's political and cultural landscape. They met with politicians, diplomats, and representatives of the Jewish diaspora, and conducted discussions with Lithuanian schoolchildren and university students.

The cadets' program featured meetings Minister of Economy and Innovation Lukas Savickas and Irena Urbutytė-Pranckevičienė, Head of the Middle East and North Africa Group Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At the Lietuvos Respublikos Seimas, they held discussions with members of the Inter-Parliamentary Group on Relations with the State of Israel, Tomas Tomilinas and Dalia Asanavičiūtė. Later the cadets engaged in a frank exchange with U.S. Ambassador Kara C. McDonald, and other diplomats.

The cadets also gained valuable insights from meetings with Faina Kuklianski, President of the Jewish community of Lithuania and delivered lectures and discussed current Israeli affairs with students at Vilniaus Sholom Aleichem ORT gymnasium and Vytautas Magnus University led by professor Andžej Pukšto.
