Israel has long believed that political figures with antisemitic views should not be part of any political mainstream

We would like to reaffirm this position once again especially as we witness, including in recent days, the rise of antisemitism in Europe.
No one should condone or legitimise antisemitic discourse for short time political benefit.
The plight of antisemitism is not and shouldn’t be Israel’s concern only. We do believe that antisemitism and its new form of Israel bashing undermines Europe’s own foundations after World War Two.
We trust that Lithuania’s steadfast commitment to combat antisemitism in all its forms is an unwavering commitment regardless of any political setting. We will be Lithuania’s partners in this effort.
