The Prime Minister of the State of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu arrived to Italy for an official visit from 9 to 11 March.

The Prime Minister of the State of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu arrived to Italy for an official visit from 9 to 11 March. Upon his arrival, the Prime Minister was welcomed by the Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto, representing the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and by the Ambassador of Israel to Italy Alon Bar.

PM Netanyahu participated in the Italy-Israel Economic Forum, hosted at the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy in the presence of Minister Adolfo Urso and over 50 representatives of all the major Italian companies. Among the topics covered: water, energy, space, telco, finance and medicine, areas that pose important challenges, for which Israel can play a key role in supporting and collaborating with Italy.

At the end of the Economic Forum, PM Netanyahu headed to Palazzo Chigi where the Italian PM Giorgia Meloni received him. Among the topics addressed in the meeting and recalled in the final joint statement: water resources, energy and gas, fields in which the contribution of Israel's experience and resources can be significant for Italy and Europe, for example with the further increase in the export of gas from Israel to Europe via Italy.
