Amir Lati is Consul General of the State of Israel in Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR from September 2021
CG Lati has been a career diplomat for the past 24 years and is not new to China and Asia.
Right before arriving in Hong Kong, he was Director of North East Asia department at Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Asia and Pacific division (2019-2021).
CG Lati was also Consul General of Israel in Chengdu (2014-2018) and Deputy Consul General of Israel in Shanghai (2006-2010).
He has received an MBA in Finance and Organizational Behavior from Tel Aviv University, MA in Democratic Studies from Open University of Israel and BA in Economics and Chinese Studies from Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Consul General Amir Lati speaks Hebrew and English, with basic Korean. He has attended Beijing University and is proficient in Chinese.
