Extension of an Israeli travel document

This service enables Israeli citizens and residents abroad to submit an application to extend a non-biometric travel document (passport)
Required Documents To Apply
The passport or travel document that is to be extended.
Tip
In the case of an Israeli staying permanently in Greece and before arranging a meeting, it should be sent to the e-mail addresses of the consular department:
Proof of residence in Greece and a photocopy of the previous passport.
Required presence at the Consulate
The application may be submitted by email.
Applicants below the age of 18 must appear in person, accompanied by their parents.
If the parents are married, it is enough for one parent to be present.
In case of divorced, separated, common-law or single parents, the written consent of both parents is required. The consent can be signed before the Consul in any Israeli mission abroad, before a licensed notary, or at the offices of the Israel Population and Immigration Authority in Israel.

The service is available to Israel citizens living abroad.

How to apply?

The applicant must schedule an appointment and appear in person at the mission.

A non-biometric passport may be extended on condition that the period from the date of issuance of the passport until the end of the extension period does not exceed five years.

The period of an extension for candidates for military service is subject to their draft status with the IDF.

The application may be sent by mail, according to the instructions on the website of the mission.

The applicant must schedule an appointment through the online appointment scheduler and present himself at an Israeli mission in the country where he is staying.

Before coming to the mission, make sure you have with you all the required documents and completed forms.

No fee is charged for the service.

Security instructions for those arriving at the embassy

Must arrive after prior arrangement only.

You must arrive equipped with an ID card (passport or ID card) with a photo.

It should be taken into account that every visitor will be asked to undergo a security check for him and his belongings.

For security reasons, it will not be possible to bring personal items into the embassy, including handbags, mobile phones and electronic devices.

Do not come to the embassy with large handbags and/or luggage.

Do not come to the embassy with food and/or bottles or drinking vessels.

The embassy's security guidelines will apply to those staying in the consular waiting room.

The instructions of the embassy's security team must be obeyed at all times.
