EMBASSY EXPLORES CULTURAL DIPLOMACY WITH MIRIAM ENGEL
The Embassy of Israel in Accra hosted Ms. Miriam Engel, Founder and Artistic Director of the Angela Dance Co. - Jerusalem International Solo Dance Festival in Israel. Her visit to Ghana coincided the with the October 7 Massacre Memorial Day Event.
As part of her activities in Ghana, Ms. Engel held various choreography workshops with some students of the University of Ghana Dance Department and the Ghana Dance Ensemble of the National Theatre of Ghana.
It was an exciting two-day workshop that focused on cultural exchange. Miriam exposed both groups to the dance terrain in Israel and her amazing journey of being a Solo Dancer. She learnt some Ghanaian traditional dance.
