Entry visas for university or yeshiva students

This service enables foreign university or yeshiva students who want to study at institutions of higher education or at yeshivas in Israel, to submit an application for a visa.
Required Documents To Apply
Application for a student visa, completed and signed.
Recent passport photo (against a white background, with full front view of face, measuring 5x5 cm).
Foreign passport, valid for the period of the visa.
Confirmation of acceptance to the educational institution.
Confirmation of payment of tuition.
Proof of means of subsistence (printout of bank statement for at least three months).
Birth certificate (no need for an apostille stamp or chain of signatures).
Medical insurance.
Proof of residence in Israel.
Photographs of parents' passports
Required presence at the Consulate
The applicant must appear in person at the mission.
Please note
The application has to include all documents listed above and for applications submitted in Addis Ababa, please submit additional documents and follow specific instructions:

1. Police clearance certificate Authenticated by the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
2. Original marriage and birth certificate, and children birth certificate, if applicable, Authenticated by the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Note: The Consul may request additional documents.

Minors applying for a visa will also needs to include the following:

1. Original and authenticated by the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Of The Federal Democratic Republic Of Ethiopia, birth certificate with the names of both parents.
2. Two parental consent forms for issuing a visa for a minor, one for each parent or legal guardian.

Please note that the parents or legal guardians must sign the form in front of a consular officer at the Embassy. If one of the parents cannot come to the Embassy in person, they must sign the form in front of an Israeli notary, and the other parent must bring the notarized form to the Embassy for the visa application.

Who can apply?

The service is available to university or yeshiva students who want to study at an institution of higher education or at a yeshiva in Israel.

How to apply

The applicant must submit a visa application, completed and signed, with supporting documents attached.

The completed application and supporting documents should be sent by email to an Israeli mission in the country where the applicant lives.

Please note:


If the confirmation of acceptance states that the student will be accompanied by another person – the details of such person should be provided, including their passport number.

 

If the applicant is under age 18, both parents must sign before the consular representative.

Any visit to a mission must be arranged in advance through the online appointment scheduler.

The affidavit that is to be signed must be prepared in advance.
