Meet our Ambassador.
Mr. Raslan Abu Rukun is a professional diplomat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Israel. Serving since the summer of 2023 as a special and accredited Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, and a non-resident Ambassador to Antigua-Barbabuda, Jamaica, Grenada, Dominica, Haiti, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis.
In the past, he served as a political envoy at the Israeli Embassy in Egypt (2020-2023), Political Advisor in Portugal (2014-2019), Deputy Consul General in Philadelphia (2009-2012), Deputy Ambassador in Nepal (2009-2007).
At the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem, Ambassador Abu Rukun previously worked in the North American Division, and in the Division for International Organizations.
He began his work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2006, in a cadet course.
Ambassador Abu Rukun holds a master's degree in international relations and a bachelor's degree in political science and history of the Middle East from the University of Haifa.
