It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ambassador Erella Hadar, the fourth ambassador of Israel to the Czech Republic (1999-2001) following the renewal of diplomacy relations in 1990. It was she who with her flair and vast experience contributed to bringing Israel and the Czech Republic a little closer at the turn of the millennium.

That the Czech Republic was close to her heart and that she never stopped actively engaging in Israeli-Czech events is attested by the fact that in 2010 she was awarded a medal of the Senate of the Czech Republic for spreading the good name and traditions of the Czech Republic in Israel.
We will miss you, Madam Ambassador.
