POLITICAL Department
The Political Department is responsible for the political relations between Israel and Cyprus and works on strengthening bilateral cooperation, while promoting Israel’s policy and interests.
It is comprised of the Political Affairs Office and the Digital Diplomacy office.
The Political Affairs Office manages the political contacts between the two countries. The tasks include following and analyzing developments related to Cyprus’ political agenda and foreign policy. The department advocates for Israel’s positions on a broad range of issues, based on contacts with Cypriot officials, parliamentarians, politicians, academic institutions and think tanks, civil society representatives, and foreign diplomats.
The Digital Diplomacy Office manages the Embassy’s social media platforms and the online outreach efforts. The department is responsible for sharing information on government positions or other issues related to Israel.
