Our mission is to advance the interests of the State of Israel in Cyprus, while serving as a liaison between our governments and peoples.
Since the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1960, a new chapter of bilateral cooperation has flourished, building upon centuries-old historical connections.
The friendship between the two nations was strengthened following the Second World War, when 52,000 Jewish Holocaust survivors were arrested at British detention camps in the island.
The camps, which became a symbol of friendship between the peoples, were also the born place of more than 2,200 Jewish babies.
In recent years, Israel and Cyprus have forged a strategic partnership across various sectors including defense and security, emergency assistance, healthcare, business, innovation and energy.
Our shared goal is to promote prosperity and welfare through collaborations and synergies.
