This year's anniversary of the establishment of the State of Israel was different.

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 7, 2023 𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗯𝘆 𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝘀𝗿𝗮𝗲𝗹, 𝗮 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻, 𝗨𝗞-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮 𝗚𝘂𝘀𝗼𝘃, 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 76𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.
Following the October 7 massacre, Gusov travelled to Israel to capture the tragedy. He depicted both the unbearable pain within the society, as well as the resilience and strength of the Israeli people.
